I have gone to several shops in the area the past couple of years and Warran Automotive is by far the most professional with fair pricing. My wife's car was checked in by Gary who professionally gathered the problem details Friday morning. The shop called that afternoon with diagnosis and upfront pricing. Later they discovered a motor mount that should be replaced and again called offering options. Later I met the owner, Warran who offered to release the car after shop was closed, to pick up the car , and he is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable, offering advice for future maintenance without "selling". We will defiinitely be back to this Waveland Gem. -John R
Took my vehicle in for some repair and service. Grizz is one fine service manager. Patient, professional, and friendly. They got the diagnostics done quick, called me back and gave me an honest run down. Called me on the day they're CLOSED and him and a few technicians were waiting when I went and picked it up. Totally fair pricing, and rock solid service. I've found a great trusted service garage for the Mustang!! Go there and be treated right. -Judson M
I cannot say enough good things about Lewis and his team at Warran Automotive. My wife and I were on vacation when the A/C in my car started acting up. I dropped the car off and Vince took me back to our rental house in his personal vehicle. Lewis was up front about the problem and the cost. During the process he refused to replace a part because he couldn't duplicate the symptom and wasn't sure that particular part was the source of the problem, saying, "I don't want to just throw parts at it. I won't do you like that." These guys have know-how, experience, and integrity. It's a shame I live 700 miles away or they'd be my new auto repair place. If you're in the Bay St. Louis / Waveland area and need car repair, they will treat you right. -Alan S
Warran Automotive is what a business should be: Competent, fair, fast, and friendly. I cannot say enough good things about Lewis and the staff at Warren Automotive.
On I-10, heading back home to Florida after a trip to Texas, our air conditioning went out. The battery light came on and then we heard a BANG! as if something hit the bottom of car. Then the engine temperature gauge climbed into the red. Luckily we were near a weigh station. We pulled over and looked under the hood. The belt had come off and was wrapped around the pulleys. We called AAA for a tow. Thank God we had our smart phone. I got into Yelp and searched for an auto repair shop. Warran Automotive in Bay St. Louis came up first because of the customer ratings. I called and Lewis told us that he worked on Jeeps and he'd see if he couldn't get us on the road today. It was one o'clock and I thought that was pretty optimistic but it was a ray of sunshine in what could have been an ugly situation. It took two hours for the tow truck from AAA to show. By the time we got to Warran, it was after three.
Lewis looked at our car, quoted me a good price, and said he could have us fixed and on the road by noon the next day. I figured we'd have to rent a car and drive to a hotel. Lewis told us of a hotel close by and said they'd drive us there with our luggage. "You're kidding," I thought. What automotive shop gives limousine service? One of the guys, Gary, helped pile our luggage into Lewis' truck and drove us to the hotel. He said to call him the next day so he could come pick us up. Gary picked us up the next morning at the hotel and I had to move fast or he would have carried all of our luggage. They replaced our air conditioning system, installed a new radiator, and got us on the road the next day after lunch.
Mississippi is known for friendly folks but this was way above and beyond. Lewis, Gary, and the staff at Warran Automotive made our breakdown a side trip instead of an inconvenience. These are some of the friendliest folks you'll ever meet. It's the kind of business everyone wants to work with. I wish Lewis would move his business to Florida.
Warren Automotive is a great little shop. Lewis is a super nice guy. They have very up front pricing and I for one think they are very fair and reasonable. Hell I think they are cheap compared to some shops if you want to know the truth. First class repairs all the way. -Pete C
Friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable. Not only did they replace the busted power steering hose but they cleaned up the steering fluid which coated the engine compartment. I won't hesitate to use them again. -Jeffrey L
My radiator cracked on I-10 near Waveland, MS on our trip back to Alabama. I did not know anyone in the area. I was at the mercy of which shop the tow truck dropped off at... But everyone at Warran Automotive was Super Nice. They set us up with a hotel room, took us to the hotel, and picked us up after the car was finished early the next morning. If it was not for their kindness, compassion, and great work, we would have been in deep trouble. They are also very reasonable with their prices. They could have taken advantage of our situation, but instead helped us a great deal. -Brent H
Great place! My Mom & I had car trouble while traveling from TN to MS. Went to Warran Automotive on a Saturday and, even though they were busy, and as it turned out - they actually were closed on Saturdays and trying to catch up on work - they took her car in and checked it out for us. Could have charged us for any amount of brake work, but figured out it was just a $40 hose and fixed it. We drove back to TN safely thanks to John. -A.C K
